CASE STUDY
One folder per client: how Patio runs an agency on shareable dashboards

HIGHLIGHTS
Background
Patio is a full-service agency that manages its clients' entire digital presence: organic social, paid social and search, websites, and email newsletters. For every client on the roster, that means a set of Facebook and Instagram accounts, ad accounts, an analytics property, and often a newsletter program, all owned by the agency's reporting obligation.
The Challenge
Agency measurement sprawls fast. Each client brings their own accounts on every platform, and Patio manages more than 90 connected accounts across 11 platform types, with a third of them ad accounts. Without structure, that becomes a workspace where nobody can answer the simplest question: where do I look for this client?
The Solution
A folder per client
Patio's answer is one folder per client. Inside each folder live the dashboards for everything that client runs: social performance, paid campaigns, website analytics, newsletter engagement. The folder is the client's home, and however many clients join the roster, the answer to "where do I look" never changes.
An external view and an internal one
For their biggest client, Patio keeps two folders: an external one the client sees, and an internal one where the team works. The client-facing view stays curated while the working dashboards stay honest, and both pull from the same live data.
Folders that keep growing
When a client adds a platform or a campaign warrants its own view, the team adds a dashboard to the folder and it is immediately part of what the client sees. The newest client folder on the roster was created days before this case study was written. Onboarding a client has become a repeatable motion: connect the accounts, build the dashboards, share the folder.
The Impact
The folder replaced the status deck. Clients open their folder and see every platform they pay Patio to manage, live, in one place. And for the agency, adding the next client does not add chaos: it adds a folder.
