HIGHLIGHTS
Background
Zoomer Digital Network (ZDN) is one of Canada's largest digital media companies, operating a portfolio of publications including blogTO, Daily Hive, Dished, Curiocity, Offside, CULTR, and MobileSyrup. Each publication runs its own editorial, social, newsletter, and sponsored content operations across multiple Canadian cities.
The scale is substantial: thousands of active advertiser campaigns, social accounts for every publication in every city, newsletter programs across multiple ESPs, and programmatic ad operations through Google Ad Manager.
The Challenge
When you run 10+ publications, each with their own Instagram, TikTok, and Facebook accounts per city, plus editorial teams, sponsored content operations, and programmatic ad sales, the reporting problem compounds fast. Every publication needed social stats. Every advertiser needed campaign reports. The sales team needed branded content averages. The ad ops team needed GAM performance dashboards. And leadership needed a view across all of it.
No off-the-shelf analytics tool was built for this. Most tools assume you have one brand, one set of social accounts, one website. ZDN has dozens of each.
The Solution
One workspace, every publication
ZDN consolidated all 10+ publications into a single Momently workspace. Every social account (Instagram, TikTok, Facebook, YouTube, Pinterest), every editorial CMS, every newsletter system (Omeda, Mailchimp), and every ad platform (GAM, Facebook Ads, Google Ads, TikTok Ads) feeds into one place.
Per-city, per-brand social dashboards
The social team built dashboards for every combination: Dished Calgary IG, Daily Hive Vancouver TikTok, Curiocity Toronto image posts. Each dashboard shows the actual posts alongside reach, impressions, likes, comments, shares, and saves. The team tracks performance by city, by brand, and by content type (video vs. image, organic vs. paid) without leaving Momently.
Branded content operations at scale
Every sponsored campaign gets its own report showing the actual articles, social posts, and newsletter placements alongside the performance data. The sales team uses "Paid Product Averages" dashboards per publication to set pricing and pitch new advertisers with real benchmarks. Campaign managers track daily production numbers and editorial KPIs across every publication from a single view.
Newsletter analytics across the network
ZDN runs newsletter programs across blogTO, Daily Hive, CARP, Zoomer, and ZML, each through Omeda. Every newsletter has its own reporting dashboard with open rates, click rates, subscriber growth, and per-send performance. The team benchmarks across the network and reports to newsletter sponsors with the same data they use internally.
The Impact
ZDN operates at a scale most analytics tools weren't designed for: 8,000+ campaigns, 3,700+ clients, 160 dashboards, and 1,200+ dashboard cards across every publication and every city. The social team, the editorial team, the branded content team, the ad ops team, and leadership all work from the same workspace. New campaigns are created daily, and every advertiser report shows the actual content alongside the numbers.
