Connect Momently to ChatGPT

Bring your Momently campaigns, reports, and analytics into ChatGPT. Once connected, you can ask ChatGPT questions about your workspace data and it will pull live, read-only answers from Momently.

Before you start

• Your workspace must have the Momently connector enabled. If you are not sure, email admin@momently.com and we will confirm or turn it on.
• Every person connects with their own Momently login. The connector only shows each user the workspaces they already belong to, and it is strictly read-only. It cannot change anything in Momently.

Option 1: Add it for yourself (Plus and Pro plans)

1. In ChatGPT, open Settings and turn on Developer mode. Depending on your account it appears under Security and login or under the advanced settings of the connectors page.
2. In Settings, open the connectors section and click Create to open the new plugin form.
3. Enter Momently as the name and the MCP server URL above as the server URL.
4. Choose OAuth as the authentication method. ChatGPT reads the OAuth configuration from the server automatically. Give it a moment to fill in the discovered fields.
5. Paste the OAuth Client ID above into the client ID field. Leave the Registration URL field empty.
6. If the scopes are not already filled in, enter: openid email profile
7. Check the box confirming you trust this application, then click Create.
8. Click Connect. You will be sent to the Momently sign-in page. Sign in with your own Momently account and approve access.
9. Test it: start a new chat, enable Momently in the chat's tools menu, and ask "Which Momently workspaces do I have access to?"

Option 2: Add it for your whole workspace (Business, Enterprise, and Edu plans)

A workspace admin sets the app up once and publishes it. Each member then connects their own Momently account.

1. As a workspace admin, open Workspace Settings, then Apps. Confirm that apps are enabled for your workspace. Defaults differ by plan, so check even if you expect it to be on.
2. Create a new app. Enter Momently as the name and the MCP server URL above as the server URL.
3. Choose OAuth authentication, paste the OAuth Client ID above, leave the Registration URL field empty, and set the scopes to openid email profile if they are not filled in automatically.
4. Run Scan tools. ChatGPT reads the tool list from the server. You should see twelve tools, all marked read-only.
5. Test the app as a draft: connect your own Momently account and ask a question in a chat with the draft app enabled.
6. Publish the app to the workspace. Each member then connects with their own Momently login the first time they use it. Note: on some plans a published app cannot be edited afterward, only recreated, so finish testing before you publish.

Troubleshooting

• Sign-in keeps looping or fails. Disconnect the Momently app, then connect and sign in again.
• ChatGPT does not use Momently in a chat. Open the tools menu in the chat input and make sure Momently is enabled for that conversation.
• You removed and re-added the app, and an old chat behaves oddly. Start a new chat. Existing conversations can hold on to a stale connection.
• "The Momently connector is not enabled for this workspace yet." Your workspace needs the connector switched on by Momently. Email admin@momently.com.
